Branded Premiums Deliver Sales Finds Desktop Survey.

Promotional merchandise is welcomed by recipients,increases brand awareness and leads to product sales according to new research carried out by the BPMA.

The research asked 25000 people about the branded items on their desks,whether they recalled who sent them and what they thought of it,in an attempt to provide insight on the link between branded merchandise and final sales.

Key findings included the fact that 76per cent of respondents could name a brand or company featured on merchandise unprompted,while 52 per cent said they had subsequently bought from a company that featured on branded merchandise.

Pens were branded the items that were most commonly found on desks(13 per cent)followed by calendars(10 per cent),Post It notes(eight per cent),calculators(six percent) and diaries(six per cent)

Usefulness was named as the top reason for keeping a piece of merchandise by 89 per cent of respondents, followed by memories and the value of the item.
